Upon purchasing a Johannus LiVE, the organist receives two standard sample sets on a USB stick. These can be transferred to the organ’s memory, which can accommodate as many as five full sets. Each sample set contains authentic, professional recordings of an international pipe organ. These stops have been recorded key by key and can be operated on the Johannus LiVE by means of illuminated stop tabs or wooden drawknobs.
Dozens of extra sample sets from international organs to choose from
In addition to the two standard sample sets supplied, there are dozens of sample sets available for order containing your choice of authentic, professional recordings of international pipe organs. The sample sets can be ordered from Johannus.
Four different listening positions per organ
The authentic and high-quality Johannus LiVE sound can be played from four different positions in the church for each sample. The first position places the organist on the organ bench. The direct transmission of sound dominates the experience, while the spatial acoustics are secondary. The second position sets the organist in the audience, close to the front of the organ. The reverb is already coming into play, but the direct sound is still the primary focus. In the third position, the organist is positioned right in the middle of the church, where sound and reverb merge as if in a CD recording. The fourth position places the organist at the back of the church, beyond the scope of the reverb.

The Johannus LiVE positions the organist at the heart of the musical experience, with the sound of the speakers angled directly towards their ears. The organ sounds are crafted to blend with the space in which the original pipe organ is situated.
